Disney Fantasy docks at Dominica, welcomes 3500 cruise passengers

Roseau, Dominica: Dominica witnessed a huge boost in the tourism sector as the island nation welcomed Disney Fantasy of Disney Cruise Line, carrying over 3500 cruise passengers on Tuesday.

This visit of the Disney Cruise Line marks its fourth call to the beautiful shores of the nature island. Notably, the cruise made its inaugural call to the country in July 2022 and since then it is the fourth time that Disney Fantasy of Disney Cruise Line docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth in the Nature Island.

The arrival of the cruise filled the streets of Roseau with cultural displays, local crafts and cultural music. As, thousands of people of Dominica came together to welcome the Disney’s fourth call to the shores of the island nation. It was a great opportunity for the Tourism Authority of Dominica to promote the country’s vibrant culture and traditions among several international visitors.

The cruise visitors not only explored the beautiful destinations of the country but also enjoyed the local and rich musical heritage, delicacies made of local flavours and ingredients and many more. The tourism authority of the country gave all the visitors, a plethora of experiences in order to make their trip to the Nature Island, a memorable and comfortable one.

“We’re thrilled to share our local culture, entertainment, and natural wonders with all aboard,” noted Dominica Ministry of Tourism.

While shedding light on the cruise visitors, the Ministry of Tourism noted with the arrival of thousands of passengers, several sectors of the country witnessed huge growth. They highlighted accommodation, transportation and several other sectors earned huge profits by welcoming large number of tourists to the country.

They also mentioned about the benefit earned by the local citizens and stated that they generated huge amount of income by selling their locally produced goods and services. The Ministry of Tourism stated that the arrival of Disney Fantasy of Disney Cruise Line is always a very special moment as it not only advances tourism sector but others as well.

The Ministry also highlighted about the growth in the economic conditions of the country because of the tourism and stated that they will continue to make efforts in order to lead the nation towards greater heights.
