Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas extended congratulations to the winners of Charleton Edwards Memorial, Consumer Affairs Department 2024 Primary School Quiz Final. 

The final competition of the quiz was held on Tuesday, 12th March 2024 at the Cuna Caribbean Conference Centre. Such activities play a pivotal role in boosting the confidence of the participants and it also evaluates the knowledge of the participants with academics as well as beyond academics.

The Charlestown Edwards Memorial (Consumer Affairs Department) Primary School Quiz Competition was one of the activities to celebrate World Consumer Rights Day 2024. World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated to create awareness about consumer rights, protection and empowerment in order to protect them from any kind of exploitation.

Moreover, the Consumer Affairs Department of St Kitts and Nevis has been continuously making efforts in order to inform, empower and educate consumers about rights.

Minister Denzil Douglas took to his social media handle and extended wishes to the winners and all the teachers of the participants. He noted “Congratulations to all Schools that participated, their Teachers and Parents. All of us are Consumers.”

The winners of the Charleton Edwards Memorial Quiz Final 

The first position was bagged by Immaculate Conception Catholic School, the team of Samal Duggins and Shreya Rawai secured 125 points and clinched the title of the winner of the quiz. Following that, Seventh Day Adventist secured the second position, scoring 100 points, the team was represented by Logan Charles and G’Nia Gift.

St Paul’s Primary School claimed the third position with 70 points, the team was represented by Tahvishi Morrishaw and Markysha Archibald. Meanwhile, Dieppe Bay Primary School secured the fourth spot with 54 points.

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources, Entrepreneurship, Creative Economies and Cooperatives, Samal Duggins extended congratulations to the winner of Charleton Edwards Memorial, Consumer Affairs Department 2024 Primary School Quiz Final.

He said “Congratulations to Immaculate Conception Catholic School for winning the Consumer Affairs Primary School Quiz Finals! Son, I couldn’t be prouder of you and your brilliant teammates, Shreya Rawat and Marlie McDaniel. You’ve all truly excelled!”
