Emergency officials in Dennery said on Monday that the dead body of a male individual was fished out of the sea.
Stacy Joseph, Saint Lucia Service spokeswoman, said that the Dennery Fire Station received a call at about 11:10 am regarding the body.
Joseph said that the deceased was a male appearing to be in his sixties.
Joseph added that the local fishermen assisted in taking out the body of the deceased.
She added that the body was found midway between the Islet and the Dennery Fishing Port.
The body of another male was recovered from the sea at Praslin on Thursday last week.
Residents of the area said the deceased was the Castries male who was reported missing at sea after a boating accident involving two men who came to the sea in a canoe.
It is said that huge waves hit the boat in which the men were travelling, and the waves capsized the vessel.
Both men are said to have tried swimming to shore, but only one – a Vieux Fort resident made it to the shore.
