Cheddi Jagan International Airport undergoing major upgrades, building new commercial centre

Guyana: Cheddi Jagan International Airport is undergoing significant expansions with a vision to cater to the needs and demands of the passengers. Recently, Bishop Juan Edghill, the Minister of Public Works made his visit to the airport and had a firsthand look at all the developments undergoing at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. During his visit, he met with several officials and received updates on important key projects.

The management is working on the construction of the commercial centre with the motive of creating a more modern and comfortable space for passengers, ensuring their overall travel experience. The installation of an in-line baggage system will be proved to be a huge benefit for all the passengers as the streamline baggage handling will result in less downtime and preventing dissatisfaction of any passenger.

He noted that these projects are all part of a larger effort to modernize the Cheddi Jagan International Airport and make it a world-class facility for Guyana.
