CG United Women’s Super-50 Cup kicks off in St Kitts
CG United Women’s Super-50 Cup has kicked off in St Kitts and Nevis on Monday, 4th March 2024. These competitions are a huge boost for promoting women in sports and a great opportunity for them to showcase their abilities, skills and techniques.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The CG United Women’s Super-50 Cup has kicked off in St Kitts and Nevis on Monday, 4th March 2024. These competitions are a huge boost for promoting women in sports and a great opportunity for them to showcase their abilities, skills and techniques.
The teams that will be participating in the tournament include Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Windward Islands and Leeward Islands.
Barbados is the defending champion of the CG United Super 50 Cup and T20 Blaze. The team will be aiming to win this year’s tournament as well. Meanwhile, the other teams will be focusing on giving their best in order to claim the title of the tournament.
The games of the CG United Women’s Super-50 Cup will be conducted at the three venues of St Kitts which include, Warner Park, Conaree Cricket Centre and the St Paul’s Sports Complex. The 50-cup tournament has been scheduled to take place from the 4th to 25th March 2024.

Moreover, St Kitts and Nevis will also host the T20 Blaze which has been scheduled to take place from 17th to 25th March 2024. These days will offer wholesome entertainment to all the fans of cricket. Three matches will be played per day, starting at the timings of 10 am, 2:30 pm and 7 pm. All the games of the T20 Blaze will be conducted at Warner Park Stadium.

Miles Bascome, the Director of Cricket West Indies talked about the opportunity the women can create by participating in the tournament. He said “The ladies have the perfect opportunity to put their names forward for selection into any of these squads by their performances in the CG United Super50 and T20 Blaze tournaments. We are all looking forward to some scintillating performances over in St. Kitts.”
Such kind of tournament not only encourages women to participate but also plays a pivotal role in building self-confidence, and self-esteem amongst them.
