Caribbean digital creators to participate 1st time in PIDS- Enghien 2024
The five Caribbean digital creators are set to participate in France’s PIDS- Enghien 2024 Festival which is to be held in the city of Enghien-les- Bains from January 31 to February 3, 2024, funded by the European Union.

Caribbean: The five Caribbean digital creators are set to participate in France’s PIDS- Enghien 2024 Festival which is to be held in the city of Enghien-les- Bains from January 31 to February 3, 2024, funded by the European Union.
The participation of Caribbean digital creators is fostered with support from UNESCO Transcultural. The Transcultural programme is funded by the European Union in collaboration with the Enghien -les-Bains Centre of the Arts in France.
Considerably, five young creators, professionals in the visual effects from the Caribbean region will participate, and will travel to France to showcase their talent at the Paris Image Digital Summit (PIDS). And, this time, it is the 10th edition of this which is dedicated to visual effects.
The creators participating in it were selected through an open call, and three of them are from Belize, Haiti and Jamaica. Names to them are Bronwen Forman from Belize, Floreal Wilkens from Haiti and Tajha Tianna Winkle from Jamaica. Interestingly, it is the first time that the Caribbean region is participating in such a prestigious festival.
The PIDS-Enghien in 2023 significantly brought over 2200 participants and hosted and broadcasted many conferences related to visual effects. Such an initiative this time will offer interaction of the participants to the specialized and general audience, offering exposure to work through booths, presentations, job fairs, film screenings and many more.
Also, the initiative will provide the creators’ workings in the film industry with great visibility in the European market. This will be made possible through a Programme consisting of multiple activities which will further offer opportunities for career development.
Significantly, the funding given amounted to 15 million euros, which is provided for the Transcultural Programme, aiming at providing opportunities to young Caribbean artists and professionals participating. The opportunities will be offered through training, entrepreneurship, networking, explorations to new markets, access to new markets, and cultural exchange.
