Caribbean Airlines delivered 55,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Jamaica
Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Dominica also got its some batches of doses through Caribbean Airlines

Through a scheduled all-cargo flight that have its origins in Miami 55,200 vaccine doses of AstraZeneca have been delivered to Jamaica through Caribbean Airlines.
For the last 2 months, the airline has been delivering the vaccines to various Caribbean countries like Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Dominica. The airline stated that over the last two months, the carrier had shipped a significant number of vaccines to Guyana, Barbados, Dominica and Trinidad.
In a press release, Caribbean airlines stated that on May 3, Through a scheduled all-cargo flight that have its origins in Miami 55,200 vaccine doses of AstraZeneca have been delivered to Jamaica through Caribbean Airlines.
Over the past two months, the carrier has exported a vital amount of vaccines to Guyana, Barbados, Dominica and Trinidad. These consignments carried temperature-sensitive vaccines such as AstraZeneca and Sinopharm, carried via the airline’s gateways in Toronto and Miami.
Marklan Moseley, General Manager – Cargo and New Business, Caribbean-Airlines, said that Caribbean Airlines salutes health care professionals for their untiring work, rolling out vaccination schedules while meeting the increased need of the health care system. They were also thankful to each and every frontline worker for their fundamental duty and are humbled to contribute to Covid-19 restoration efforts.
The aeroplane newly extended its weekly all-cargo service in Jamaica, expanding capacity to assist rising need in the country. Caribbean Airlines Cargo also currently gives cargo services to and from Trinidad, Guyana, New York, Barbados, Antigua and Bahamas and can promote transport to many other ends by its cargo charter assistance. This will also assist in gearing up the vaccination drives in various countries.
In Jamaica, from January 3 2020 to 3:27 pm CEST, June 5 2021, there have been 48,821 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 960 deaths. As of May 27 2021, a total of 174,230 vaccine doses have been administered.
