Body of naked man found on Welch Beach, Oistins officers conduct investigation
The police officers of Oistins Station recovered the lifeless body of a man on the shores of Welch Beach on Saturday. As per reports, the deceased was found naked and faced down on the shoreline.

Bridgetown, Barbados: The police officers of Oistins Station recovered the lifeless body of a man on the shores of Welch Beach on Saturday. As per reports, the deceased was found naked and faced down on the shoreline.
According to the sources, the victim is yet to be identified by the officials. The police department released its statement and mentioned that they were informed about a person who was lying in an unconscious state near the beach in Christ Church at around 8:20 pm.
The police officers in the southern division of Oistins station responded to the matter and arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered an unclothed man lying motionless near the shores of Welch’s beach at Welch.
While examining the body of the deceased, they observed long locs, thick sideburns and a beard. The body was taken to the surrounding hospital for post-mortem reports. The investigation of the unnatural death of an unidentified adult male is ongoing.
The authorities are urging the general public to come forward with any information and assist the police in their investigation. People who acquire any information about the person can directly visit the Oistins police station or may directly call their helpline number.
However, this is not the first time that people have experienced such stances of cases in the country. Recently, in January, the police found the naked body of a male at the Brownes Beach in St Michael.
According to the police statement, the victim was identified as a 39-year-old Alec Orlando Bourne. He was a resident of a Sealy Land in Bank Hall.
While speaking about the matter, the investigating officers revealed that they received an anonymous call at around 5:47 am. A caller informed them about the body of a person lying motionless at the water’s edge in the area of the Bay Street Esplanade.
It is to be noted that the death of the Bourne was treated as unnatural.
Additionally, the increasing number of such cases indicated that the people are definitely living in a state of fear and urged authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and implement strict laws to combat these problems in Barbados.
