Auckland: Over 100 Indian women celebrate PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on 100 episode
The momentous occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme held in New Zealand on Sunday has been lauded and celebrated by over 100 women of the Indian diaspora.

Auckland, New Zealand: The momentous occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme held in New Zealand on Sunday has been lauded and celebrated by over 100 women of the Indian diaspora. During the celebrations, a woman named Rami Ben was present whose enthusiasm was noticeable and was not defined by her age.
During the event, Rami Ben extended her heartiest blessings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed that he may have all the blessings of a happy mind, wealth, body and health. The Former Deputy PM of New Zealand, Winston Peters was also present during the celebration event in Auckland, said reports.
While addressing the event, Peters expressed his gratitude to be present at the occasion and noted that it was an opportunity to address PM Modi. He added that he had met with Prime Minister Modi several times. This ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme is a significant step and reflects the conversation from the heart in its 100th episode, he added.
The episode of Mann Ki Baat, its 100th episode, has been recognized and celebrated across the world, not just in India, said reports. The External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar, has also attended an event in the United States of America and listened to the live broadcast of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
The episode and the concept of Mann Ki Baat reflect the special connection and respect between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India living across the world, said the Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar.
He also addressed the diaspora in New Jersey, United States, that gathered to celebrate the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. He said that it is an emotional day for many of us. Similar programs were also organized in a number of other countries, including the United Kingdom at the India House in London, added sources.
Vikram Doraiswami, the High Commissioner, also participated in the event and acknowledged it as a significant opportunity for the people of India to bond together as a community under this program that PM Modi has initiated.
Mann Ki Baat is a radio programme broadcasting monthly across the globe which has completed the mark of 1oo episode and was aired live at 11 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the programme to keep the Indian diaspora living abroad close to their home country.
On October 03, 2014, the programme was first aired and has become a key factor in the government’s reach to address different social groups, including youth, women, farmers, etc. the programme has been on a roll with 11 foreign languages broadcasting apart from 22 and 29 languages and dialects from India.
