Actor Adan Canto dies at 42, battling secretly with Cancer

Adan Canto, the renowned actor, who is famously known for his performances in “X-Men: days of Future Past”, “Agent Game” as well as the TV series “The Cleaning Lady” dies at the age of 42.

According to the information, the actor and the Mexican singer was suffering from appendiceal cancer and was facing the battle secretly.

The actor and the Mexican singer was born in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, in 1981 and was raised in Texas. At the age of 16, Canto left his home to pursue a career as a singer and songwriter. Following that, he began his acting career in 2009 with a Mexican TV series, “Estan de Gracia.” In 2013, he made his American debut with the Fox drama series “The Following,” starring Kevin Bacon.

Notably, Canto played the lead role in the first two seasons of the drama series, The Cleaning Lady. Due to his unfortunate health reasons, the actor was not able to participate in the filming of the upcoming season 3. However, he was hoping to join the cast and crew later in the season. But God had written some other plans for him.

He has also featured in various notable series, which includes, Designated Survivor, where he played the role of Vice President- elect Aaron Shore, Narcos, he played the role of Colombian politician Rodrigo Lara Bonilla and X-Men: Days of Future Past, he played the role of mutant Sunspot.

Moreover, Canto has won millions of hearts through his excellent performances in films like Bruised, Agent Game and 2 Hearts etc.

Furthermore, with a short film ‘Before Tomorrow’ in 2014, Canto marked his directorial debut. His second film as a director was ‘The Shot’ in 2020, it was a provocative western starring, Theo Rossi.

Considerably, the deceased is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ann Canto. He leaves behind his two young children, Roman Alder, aged 3 and Eve Josephine, aged 1.

The fans of Canto have also extended their condolences on his demise. One of his fans commented “he was one of the best parts of Designated Survivor. Rest in peace.” While another person commented the following “I would like to send my condolences to Adon Canto’s family, rest in peace.”
