13-year-old girl was raped by her stepfather on multiple occasions.

Georgetown, Guyana: The incident occurred where a 13-year-old girl was raped by his Stepfather on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in Region Four (4).

The horrifying incident took place between 13:00 and 15:00 hours. The culprit is currently on the run after he sexually assaulted his stepdaughter.

The teen’s relative spoke to the publication and highlighted the fact that the girl is currently traumatized and further revealed that the suspect, who is between the ages of 36-38, used to allegedly sexually assault her several times on multiple occasions.

The act came to limelight when the mother of the victim walked in and caught the suspect in the act. She hurriedly grabbed an object in order to save her daughter and struck the suspect in the face, which caused him to receive an injury.

She (mother) then collected her phone and tried to contact her relatives to ask for help and alert them about the situation, but unfortunately, the accused got his hands on the phone and escaped from the crime spot.

Later on, the obscene happening was reported to the police, and the law enforcement officers investigated the matter, and a man-hunt is currently underway.

The Child Care and Protection Agency (CPA) was also alerted about this matter.

Crimes related to sexual assault have been reported extensively. Prior to this incident, it was reported that a 3-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her paternal grandfather.

A 3-year-old came to her mother and complained to her about the inappropriate touching of her paternal grandfather as he spat on his fingers and interfered with her.

The matter was reported to the nearby police station.
