Jamaica Foreign Minister Kamina Johnson receives ancestral welcome in Ghana
Jamaica: Senator and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kamina Johnson Smith shared a glimpse of her latest visit to Ghana.

                                                    Jamaica: Senator and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and candidate for Commonwealth Secretary-General, Kamina Johnson Smith shared a glimpse of her latest visit to Ghana.
She expressed pleasure in interacting with the authorities and the people of the region.
The Foreign Minister further extended thanks for the ancestral welcome and honour in Ghana.
She took social media and expressed her love and thanks for the people of Ghana. She stated, “What an honour. What a great privilege. I give thanks for the goodwill, the welcome, the ancestral honour, the global connection and the #love.”

During Smith’s visit to the country, she met with Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, King of the Akuapeman and the twenty-sixth (26th) occupant of the Ofori Kuma stool of Akuapem.
She added, “I express sincere appreciation to HRM Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III to you and your people.”
Further, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III held a grand Durbar on Saturday to honour the Minister for foreign affairs and foreign trade of Jamaica, Kamina Smith, at the Okuapehene’s palace.
Recently, Kamina Johnson has been on an official trip to several countries to promote her candidature to the Commonwealth. She has also been engaged in meeting with the Foreign Ministers and the Head of State to discuss several international topics.
Prior to Ghana, she was on a trip to Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria, where she met with the foreign ministers and higher delegations of the country.
