St. Kitts and Nevis: The developmental phase in St. Kitts and Nevis taking the country to vital recognition worldwide. Dr. Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister shared the progressives undergoing in St. Peters.

He mentioned, “The long awaited well in Cayon is progressing and undergoing extensive testing.”

Considerably, St. Kitts and Nevis is on its way to have the positive results that would head towards improving the water crisis that comes forward in the country on a frequent basis. As part of the testing of the well through Cayon, gallons of water was flowing through. However, the Prime Minister mentioned it as the final flow test.

The well- drilling project commenced last year on June 9, 2023 at the Cabbage Tree site which is close to the island’s main road. It was mentioned by the Prime Minister that as the project is aimed at addressing the water crisis in the country, on completion it would bring major relief to the community of Cayon.

“The long awaited St. Peter’s main road is also progressing well,” added the Prime Minister.

The infrastructural development in this form is a mark of great significance as it takes a step forward that commits to enhance the country’s position, to ensure better connectivity for all the citizens. 

Through this project, the beginning of the road will be resurfaced, covering a distance of 6.22 km which will expand from the roundabout in the RLB International Airport. This project was announced in August 2023, while announcing, the PM referred to it as “significant strides towards enhancing infrastructure.”

Notably, in February this year, the authorities assessed the work going and projected that this would take some time to complete. The significant project would offer great opportunities to the people of the country.

The construction project of Conaree stadium of St. Kitts and Nevis is introduced with the aim to construct a state of the art facility. This will make the country embark on a journey to a new era of football in Conaree.

Significantly, the progress going steadily would transform the place into a two storey pavilion. This will include bathroom facilities, changing rooms, bleaches, a media center, booth and bars as well.
