President Jovenel Moise wrote, “I am at the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE) in Value in order to complete the formalities for the production of my electronic passport. I am delighted that Haiti has finally entered the technological era in terms of travel documents.”
Furthermore, President added, “I congratulate the technicians of the DIE and the senior executives of the public administration who made possible the realization of the electronic passport project. This important step allows Haiti to update itself and facilitate the movement of its citizens abroad.”
“This morning, I went to the Immigration and Emigration Service to get my first electronic passport. My congratulations to the staff of this institution, which, day by day, strive to provide taxpayers with quality service,” the Haiti President added.
Along with that, President Moise wrote, “It is with great pleasure that I welcome, this Thursday, January 21, 2021, at the National Palace, 1,500 young people to give them their certificate of admission to the scholarship program initiated by the Haitian State through the National education fund.”
According to the President, the purpose of this scholarship is “you obtained it on the basis of merit since you passed the competition brilliantly. It is neither the sponsorship nor the political connections that earned you this scholarship. My Administration wanted to prove once again that we believe in excellence.”
He also added, “My administration knows your future is neither behind a barricade nor in blocking streets, nor in burning state property, nor in smashing. That is why we offer the youth the option of putting knowledge forward thanks to the 1500 scholarships that the State offers to young women and men in difficulty throughout the country.”
