Free Influenza vaccine available in Trinidad and Tobago, know locations and time
The influenza vaccine is available completely free of cost at all the health centers in Trinidad and Tobago. The vaccinations are available till February 4, 2024 at the mass vaccination sites.

Trinidad and Tobago: The influenza vaccine is available completely free of cost at all the health centres in Trinidad and Tobago. The vaccinations are available until February 4, 2024, at the mass vaccination sites.
“You cannot contract the influenza virus from the vaccine,” highlighted the health ministry.
The influenza vaccine is safe, and the most common side effects experienced after taking it are soreness in the arm, a low fever, or achiness.
As the influenza season will end in May 2024, vaccines are available to reduce the severity of influenza. Various of the site are as follows:
- At Gulf City Mall, it will be available between 9 am and 3 pm from Monday to Thursday and between 11 am and 5 pm from Friday to Sunday.
- At Trincity Mall, it will be available at Micles Atrium between 10 am and 5 pm from Monday to Saturday, between 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday.
- At Point Fortin Hospital, the vaccines are available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 3 pm.
- At Divali Nagar Site, the vaccines are available from Monday to Sunday, which means for all the seven days, between 9 am and 3 pm.
Probing ahead, persons belonging to high-risk groups may develop severe illness if they contract influenza. And, the high-risk groups include; Children aged from 6 months to 5 years, Adults 60 years of age and over, pregnant women, persons suffering from Non-Communicable Diseases regardless of their age.
Moreover, Persons with compromised immune systems, like persons with Lupus, are certain Cancer patients. And, persons with chronic respiratory illnesses such as asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and healthcare workers.
Complications of the influenza virus include exacerbation of chronic diseases, increased risk of stroke, heart attack, pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus, and ear infections. It can even take a patient to hospitals.
Importantly, the vaccine will help in safeguarding health.
