Dr. Denzil Douglas shares glimpses of event held in Saddlers Primary School, congratulates participants

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Foreign Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Denzil Douglas extended gratitude to all the sponsors and every person who played a pivotal role in making the Saddlers Primary School Miss Virtuous Princess Show and Calypso Monarch successful.

The event took place on 13th April which was a great way of harnessing the talents of the individuals and giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent, skills and abilities. 

Minister Douglas also extended congratulations to all the contestants of the Saddlers Primary School First Miss Virtuous Show for their spectacular performances and for setting the bar high with their glamour and charm.

Liciara Blanchette – Miss Self- Discipline claims the title of Virtuous Princess. Her overall performance was the representation of beauty with brains. Following that, Safiyah Sam – Miss Resilience became the 1st Runner-Up and Jahara Charles – Miss Integrity secured the third position respectively.

Along with that, the minister also appreciated Jonai Henry – Poverty for becoming the Calypso Prince of the Saddlers Primary School 2024 event. Kivanzie Richardson – Gang Violence secured the first position and created an unforgettable experience for every attendee of the event through their talent and passion. All the participants kept the energy high and forced the audience to dance to their tunes and set the stage on fire. 

Minister Denzil Douglas also expressed gratefulness to all the teachers, staff members, and parents of all the children who contributed to the success of the event. 

He also mentioned Warren Bradshaw (BCA), the platinum sponsor of the shows for their generous support for presenting participation and winning monetary donations to each participant. He also thanked the School Apex and Mrs. Hilarene Blanchette for the amazing participation prizes.

“Chief Education Officer, Mr Francil Morris and Don Grant (Villager) were also thanked for the roles they played”, noted Minister Denzil Douglas

His presence of Minister Denzil Douglas in the competition shed light on his continuous efforts towards promoting the youth of the nation in cultural activities and providing them a platform to enhance their talent.

Moreover, the active participation by the youth in such competitions also reflects that St. Kitts and Nevis has a brighter future ahead with such talented youth.
