Dominica is anticipating to welcome around 10,000 visitors this week with the arrival of 6 cruises to the shores of the island nation. Recently, the Ministry of Tourism of Dominica has unveiled an exciting cruise schedule from 18th November to 24th November, 2024, aiming to offer all the passengers with a plethora of experiences.
As per the schedule, the authorities will welcome three cruises on 19th November, including MV Seven Seas Grandeur, MV Celebrity Beyond and Le Champlain. Additionally, MV Villa Vie Odyssey will dock on 20th November and will stay on the shores of the country till the following day.
The Dominica Ministry of Tourism will also mark the arrival of MV Celebrity Summit and MV Mein Schiff 2 to the shores of the country on 21st and 23rd November, 2024 respectively.
Cruise Weekly Schedule of Dominica from 18th November – 24th November, 2024
- 19th November, 2024: MV Seven Seas Grandeur, 829 passengers at Roseau Cruise Ship Berth
- 19th November, 2024: MV Celebrity Beyond, 3260 passengers at Woodbridge Bay Port
- 19th November, 2024: Le Champlain, 180 passengers at Cabrits Cruise Ship Berth
- 20th November, 2024 – 21st November, 2024: MV Villa Vie Odyssey, 929 passengers at Woodbridge Bay Port
- 21st November, 2024: MV Celebrity Summit, 2452 passengers at Roseau Cruise Ship Berth
- 23rd November, 2024: MV Mein Schiff 2, 2894 passengers at Roseau Cruise Ship Berth.
Dominica 2024-2025 Cruise Schedule
Dominica kicked off its 2024-2025 cruise season on 9th October, 2024 with the arrival of Celebrity Summit. The vessel with a capacity of carrying 2158 passengers was docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. All the passengers boarding the vessel were warmly welcomed by the authorities as they were provided with an unforgettable experience.
Following that, the authorities welcomed several cruises to the shores such as MV Disney Magic, MV Eurodam, MV Viking Sea, MV Vision of the Seas, MS Insignia and many more. All these vessels docked at the ports of the country brought thousands of passengers to the country, boosting the tourism sector of the island nation to greater heights.
In the 2024-2025 cruise season, Dominica is aiming to welcome 235 cruise calls, bringing 3,75,000 passengers to the island nation. The authorities shed light on their commitment to provide an opportunity for all the visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant beauty and culture of the country.
The tourism authority of Dominica said that they are looking forward to offer an unforgettable experience to all the attendees. They also said that all the cruise passengers will get an opportunity to explore the lush rainforests, waterfalls and warm island vibes of Dominica, which make the nation different from others.
Also, this year, Dominica will welcome the inaugural visits by 12 ships including, MV AIDAbella, MSC Explora II, MV Sapphire Princess, MV Majestic Princess, MV Resilient Lady and many others.
Significant upgrades
The Dominica Ministry of Tourism has made several significant upgrades with a vision to welcome large number of cruises and passengers to the country. As, they have made several significant improvements in order to update their areas, ensuring an engaging experience for all the tourists.
Certain upgrades made by the authorities include, improved access to waterfalls, rehabilitation of trails, installation of new railings, and refreshed signage. While shedding light on all these upgrades, the authorities said that all these advancements will play a significant role in ensuring safer and more secure path for all the visitors and enhancing their overall experiences on the country.
