Dominica reports 85 recoveries & 38 new COVID-19 cases

According to the report by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment, Dominica has witnessed a decline in the number of new COVID-19 cases, as on February 22, 2022, the toll of confirmed cases stood at 65.

Dominica: As of February 22, 2022, total number of COVID-19 cases reported in the Caribbean country is 38; of total four have been tested positive through PCR test, while remaining has tested positive through Antigen.

During the same time span, Dominica reported around 85 recoveries or discharges from the novel virus. Following this addition, the total number of recoveries has been raised up to 10,555.

According to the information shared by the health authorities of the nation, total number of active cases reported in the nation stands at 379 and as many as 57 people have succumbed to the deadly virus, since the pandemic has begun.

The nation has not reported any COVID-19 related death in the period of 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment of Dominica informed that the number of confirmed cases in the country is at 10,991 and the total number of tests conducted in the Caribbean country is 165,338. Of the total tests, 34,810 test were PCR and remaining, 130,528 were Antigen tests.

However, 61,610 doses of vaccine have been administrated to the citizens of the island country. Around 32,102 people have been administrated with the first dose of vaccine and the second dose has been received by 29,508 Dominicans.
