Dominica: The Small Business Support Unit of the Commonwealth of Dominica visited other major tourism site – Penville, home to some of our major tourism sites such as Cold Soufriere and Bwa Neff Falls, to raise awareness about the One Stop Shop campaign.
Prime Minister of the country Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, Tourism Minister Denise Charles and PS Lisa Valmond accompanied the unit for another Community Outreach Drive.
The Ministry of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives informed about this One Stop Shop campaign and stated, “Yesterday the Small Business Support Unit visited Penville, home to some of our major tourism sites such as Cold Soufriere and Bwa Neff Falls with the Parliamentary Representative and Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, Tourism Minister Denise Charles and PS Lisa Valmond for yet another Community Outreach Drive!”
The motive behind this visit was to engage, educate and inform people of Dominica about this new initiative of the government. “The team engaged, educated, and informed the people on the Small Business One Stop Shop,” the ministry mentioned.
Furthermore, it stated, “Today at 4 pm look out for us in Portsmouth! Small Business One Stop Shop Community Outreach Continues!”
Earlier, the unit visited to Laplaine and Newtown to host two community drives just a week before the launching of the Small Business One Stop Shop.
The Ministry stated, “We mean business in the small business support unit! Just a week after launching the Small Business One Stop Shop, the team has gone on two community outreach drives in Laplaine and Newtown!”
Through these drives, the units were able to engage with various small business owners by informing them about our plans, services provided by One Stop Shop, listening to their needs and concerns, and reaffirming the commitment and willingness to help them to grow their businesses.
