Dominica: Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, addressed the National Assembly after becoming PM for the sixth consecutive time on December 12, 2022 (Monday). PM Skerrit revealed the new Cabinet and associated Parliamentary Secretaries.
According to PM Roosevelt Skerrit, he will be serving as Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Governance.
Melissa Poponne-Skerrit will be Minister for Housing and Urban Development.
Dr Irving McIntyre will be Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security.
Dr Vince Henderson will be Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy.
Denise Charles will be Minister for Tourism.
Cassanni Laville will be Minister for Health, Wellness and Social Services.
Senator Rayburn Blackmoore will be Minister for National Security and Legal Affairs.
Roland Royer will be Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy Minister.
Fidel Grant will be Public Works, Public Utilities and Digital Economy Minister.
Miriam Blanchard will be Labour, Public Service Reform, Social Partnership, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development Minister.
Gretta Roberts will be Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development Minister.
Cozier Frederick will be the Environment, Rural Modernisation, Kalinago Upliftment & Constituency Empowerment Minister.
Octavia Alfred will be Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training & National Excellence Minister.
Daren Pinard will be State in the Labour, Public Service Reform, Social Partnership Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development Ministry with specific responsibility for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development.
Jullan Defoe will be Minister of State in the Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue & Green Economy with specific responsibility for Fisheries as well as Blue Economy Ministry.
Senator Oscar George will be Minister of State in the Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development Ministry, focusing on Youth and Sports.
Chakira Lockhart- Hypolite will be Minister of State in the Public Works, Public Utilities and Digital Economy Ministry, while especially focusing on Public Utilities, Telecoms and Broadcasting.
Dr Cassandra Williams will be Minister of State in the Health, Wellness and Social Services Ministry, with responsibility for Seniors’ Security, Children at Risk, Gender Affairs & the Differently Abled.
Fenella Wenham will be Parliamentary Secretary in the Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training & National Excellence Ministry, with focusing on Education Reform and Human Resource Development.
Darron Lloyd will be Parliamentary Secretary in the Environment, Rural Modernisation, Kalinago Uplifttment & Constituency Empowerment Ministry with specific responsibility for Constituency Empowerment.
LaKeyia Joseph will be Parliamentary Secretary in the Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy Ministry, with particular attention on the Development of Community Agro Enterprises.
Senator Kent Edwards will be Parliamentary Secretary in the Health, Wellness and Social Services Ministry with particular responsibility for Community and Home Care.
While announcing the nomination for the Speaker of the House of Assembly, PM Roosevelt Skerrit named Joseph Issac and nominated Senator Phillip Rolle as Deputy Speaker.
