Saint Lucia:The Cops of St Lucia found a dead body of a Canadian woman staying in Gros Islet area on Sunday. The recognised body is 34-year-old Nicole Dempster, a Canadian national staying in Saint Lucia for some time now.
Police Officials suspects the homicide has been committed by someone associated to her. Police asserted that they got crime information on Sunday about 11.10 pm at Beausejour, Gros Islet and recovered the corpse of a 34-year old Canadian woman.

The investigation is under process, and Local police took the suspect in the respected custody. Authorities proclaimed that the suspect’s name would not be announced until he found guilty. The corpse has been taken for post mortem for further investigation. Only post mortem of the body can attest the homicide. Sources disclosed that the suspect is associated with her.
Law enforcement sources declared that police held the defendant during the procedure in the association of Bexon Monday evening. In contrast, there were rumours on social media that someone was shot during the police operation at Bexon after sometime police officials confirmed that it was a false voice note submitted on social media.
Murder of Four Canadians
On the other hand, this was the fourth murder in the last 48-hours. Reports revealed that “Several Canadians have been killed on the island over the past two decades.”
“Notwithstanding the events of violence that the country had over the few days, the police remain dedicated to assuring that citizens and foreigners are safe during this festive season, It is unfortunate as we are in a time when people were reckoned to be giving love and sharing the love. But, within 48 hours, we would have four killings. It is something that bothers me. It is of concern to me.” stated Commissioner Severin Moncherry
