CTO appoints Narendra Ramgulam as new Sustainable Tourism Consultant

The officials of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has appointed Narendra Ramgulam from Trinidad and Tobago as the Sustainable Tourism Consultant. The newly appointed Sustainable Tourism Consultant has worked in the field of tourism for several years.

Narendra Ramgulam, as the new Sustainable Tourism Consultant for CTO, is expected to take firm steps to enhance eco-friendly practices. The CTO believes that he will work to achieve the vision of the organization for the growth of tourism in the Caribbean in a resilient and sustainable manner.

Ramgulam has been appointed to the new position by officials of the Caribbean Tourism Organization due to his extensive experience in the industry. His impressive work in the past has made his portfolio impressive enough to be trusted to meet requirements of the position.

The CTO officials declared that they are dedicated towards the betterment of the tourism industry in the region. The step of a new appointment also came following the same vision for the coming years.

As the prime tourism authority in the Caribbean, CTO is focusing on the social and economic advantages of the local communities along with the betterment of stakeholders. The experts are assuming that Ramgulam’s tourism strategies will help to prioritize environmental stewardship.

The new Sustainable Tourism Consultant for CTO has deep knowledge as he served previously for Tobago Tourism Agency Limited. He displayed his commitment to the role of Director of Tourism Product Development and Destination Management.

During his work tenure in Trinidad and Tobago, Ramgulam showed his abilities in the field through his work. His work was recognized, especially at the time of the COVID-19 crisis, when he effectively enhanced the safety protocols and earned accolades for sustainable moves.

He also has a strong background for his academic contributions. He guided the students as a Lecturer and a Postgraduate Coordinator at the University of the West Indies situated in St Augustine. Ramgulam is also a highly accomplished researcher.

Narendra Ramgulam was named for his crucial contribution to thirteen counts of book chapters, along with peer-reviewed journals. Ramgulam will be succeeding Amanda Charles as the Sustainable Tourism Consultant for CTO.

Amanda Charles held the position for eight long years. Amanda led the organization with her experience in the Caribbean as well as international conferences related to sustainable tourism initiatives.
