Cruise Vessel Crystal Serenity to make inaugural call to St Kitts today

St Kitts and Nevis: The tourism ministry announced that Cruise Vessel Crystal Serenity will make an additional call to St Kitts on December 12, 2023 (today). Two cruises will dock at Port Zante as per the revised, including Emerald Princess and the Crystal Serenity.  Both ships will dock at 9 am to 6 pm and 8 am to 6 pm respectively.

The cruise schedules sometimes get changed. Likewise, on December 1 as well the cruise vessel Azamara Onward canceled its call to St Kitts and Nevis. However, Viking Sea  and Seabourn Ovation arrived in the country. Viking Sea made its arrival at Port Zante and Seabourn Ovation at Carambola Beach Club.

Moving ahead, Port Zante each year welcomes a significant count of cruise passengers which offer a great contribution to the country’s tourism. Interestingly, the world’s largest Cruise ship is scheduled to dock in the coming few weeks, probably in January 2024 as its first official voyage.

Moreover, this ship has a capacity of 7600 passengers and over 2300 members, is a 20 deck high ship. There are a number of facilities which ‘Icon of Seas’ offer. The list to them are as follows:

• Ice Arena
• Waterfall
• More than 20 restaurants
• Comedy Club
• Seven pools
• Six waterslides
• Jazz Club

The ship embarked its journey from the Port of Miami. And, the destinations of this will include St Kitts, St Thomas, St, Maarten, Honduras, Costa Maya, and Cozumel in Mexico. Additionally, it includes a day at Royal Caribbean’s exclusive Bahamas Island.

Cruise in St Kitts

At the beginning of Cruise Season, Marsha Henderson, Tourism Minister, stated that this season, the count of 342 cruise ships is projected to arrive in the region. Such an arrival will welcome a large count of visitors to the region.

Further, it will lead towards the economic development of the country as the land will benefit from the spendings of voyagers. And, the tourism sector as well will take an escalating direction.

The country is offering strong and unique tourism products which attract more and more money to be spent in the region from the visitors. Thus, making it a premier tour destination.
