COVID-19 safety measures continue at hospital and community health facilities in Grenada
The Ministry of Health and Social Security has advised the general public to follow the COVID-19 appropriate measures while visiting hospitals and community health facilities.

Grenada: The Ministry of Health and Social Security has advised the general public to follow the COVID-19 appropriate measures while visiting hospitals and community health facilities. The ministry has recommended wearing a face mask, maintaining social or physical distancing and other health measures while present on the hospital premises.
The ministry of Health made the announcement on April 21, 2022 (Thursday).
The official notice by the ministry stated, “On April 21, 2022, The Ministry of Health and Social Security advises the public that despite the repealing of the COVID-19 Emergency Powers Regulations, anyone visiting the general and subsidiary hospitals, as well as health centres and medical stations, should adhere to COVID-19 health and safety measures.”
“Senior health managers are reminding all concerned that the recommended measures include, but are not limited to, wearing masks, Hand-sanitising, and Observing physical distance protocols,” it added.
Furthermore, the ministry stated that it firmly believes that the measures are necessary for the continued safety and protection of patients, staff, and visitors.
It also urged the general public to understand and cooperate with the government by following the safety measures. Ministry further clarified that it had been continuously putting efforts into controlling, managing as well as preventing the spread of COVID-19 at all the levels including hospitals and community health service centres.
“The Ministry, therefore, calls on all individuals to cooperate fully with the safety measures as it continues efforts to effectively manage, control, and prevent the spread of COVID- 19 at the levels of the hospital and community health services,” it outlined.
The ministry further thanked the members of the public for their understanding and cooperation.
