St George, Grenada: The Spicemas Corporation announces the postponement of first Carnival City event which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, 13th June 2024 due to certain circumstances. The authorities are actively trying to resolve the matter with its stakeholders in order to successfully host the entire Carnival.
The Carnival City event was set to celebrate the rich carnival culture of the island nation with a variety of vibrant performances and activities each week throughout June. The event was scheduled to kick off from 13th June and goes on every Thursday which showcase the best of Grenada’s carnival festivities.
Several musical artists namely, Jab King, Lunisparks & Electricity, Muddy, Squeeze Head, 2 Blaxx, Soca Jeff, Roots Man Kelly, Big J, Sakinah and The Alpha 1 Band were all set to offer diverse range of musical experiences, celebrating the rich musical heritage of Grenada.
While sharing about the postponement of the event, the Spicemas Corporation apologises for any inconvenience and stated that updates will be provided as soon as possible in order to offer memorable and enthralling experience to all the lovers of event.
Moreover, Spicemas Corporation also successfully concluded its workshop on Mastering Performance and Business for Calypso and Soca Artistes at the Grenada Trade Centre which equipped 20 calypsonians and soca artists with valuable skills to elevate their careers to greater heights.
By conducting such workshop, the spicemas corporation aimed to developed the talent in the tri-island nation and foster rich musical legacy of Grenada. The CEO of the Spicemas Corporation, Cecil Noel stated that this workshop is being conducted in order to foster the growth and success of Grenada’s thriving music scene. He further noted that the management aims to provide artists with tools to refine their craft, build strong business and understand the legal and financial framework of the music industry.
The Spicemas Corporation also extended gratitude to Grenada Trade Centre and FlyLife Grenada for collaborating with them in this initiative of enriching the musical legacy of tri-island nation.
