Caribbean Airlines updates about changes in air tickets from 2023

Caribbean: Caribbean Airlines announced that following the orders released by the Government and Civil Aviation Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, the rates of air tickets will witness change. As per the latest update, the authorities have approved a change to the cost of inter-island air travel between Trinidad and Tobago by TTD5C per sector.

Effective January 1, 2023, air travel on the domestic air bridge will be:

Adult One-way Fare: TTD200
Adult Return Fare: TTD400
Child One-way Fare: TTD150
Child Return Fare: TTD300

The Airlines have furthermore shared the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to decrease confusion among the passengers. The FAQs shared are as follows:

The date change fee and difference in fare will apply where applicable.
The date change fee of TTD50 on domestic tickets still applies. Note, however, that tickets purchased on or before December 31, 2022, for travel in the upcoming year 2023 will be subject to both the date change fee and the difference in fare per sector, should the passenger choose to change their original ticketed travel dates to a different date of travel in 2023.

What fare do I pay if I purchase a ticket 2022 for travel in 2023?
Any ticket purchased up to and inclusive of December 31, 2022, will be at the cost of TTD150 (adult one-way) TTD300 (adult return)/ TTD100 (child one-way) TTD200 (child return). However, the date change fee, along with the difference in fare, will involve should the travel date in the next year be changed from the originally ticketed travel date.

Does the new fare apply to tickets for children and the elderly?
The fare will be changed for all the passengers travelling on the air bridge, despite age group. It is worth noting that the fare for children will be applicable for children falling between the age group of 2 to 11, whereas elderly passengers will have to pay the applicable adult fare.
