Caribbean Airlines launched its inaugural direct flight services from Trinidad and Tobago to Guadeloupe on Saturday.
Passengers onboard the first-ever flight from Trinidad to Guadeloupe were welcomed with lively cultural and steelpan performances.
While expressing excitement on the launch of the services between Trinidad and Guadeloupe, the authorities of Caribbean Airlines called it a ‘significant milestone’. They noted these services will play a significant role in strengthening their seamless and sustainable Caribbean network.
Grand welcoming ceremony
On arrival, the aircraft was given the traditional water cannon salute, and passengers were greeted by tourism officials of Guadeloupe.
The welcoming ceremony was attended by several tourism delegates including, CEO of the Caribbean Airlines – Garvin Medera, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Guadeloupe Maryse Condé Airport, Alain BIÈVRE and many others.
All the tourism delegates shed light on the significance of new connection between Trinidad and Guadeloupe. They noted that these enhanced services would play a vital link in fostering ties and relations between both the respective nations.
Four flights per week
The flight services by the Caribbean Airlines will be facilitated four times a week on every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
These services will be operated via Saint Lucia and Dominica which is expected to open new opportunities for seamless travel and collaboration across the Caribbean.

Great Conclusion of 2024 for Caribbean Airlines
Shedding light on the introduction of flights from Trinidad to Guadeloupe, the authorities of Caribbean Airlines said that this expansion brings a fitting conclusion to their ambitious year of 2024.
They highlighted the growing network of the airline with the addition of Puerto Rico, Martinique and now Guadeloupe. Officials further noted that these new destinations are complemented well by key regional developments.
Emphasizing on the developments achieved by the airline in the last year, they mentioned about the introduction of flight services between Ogle, Guyana, and Suriname; expanded regional and international schedules; and the upcoming relaunch of the Fort Lauderdale to Kingston route.
CEO Garvin Medera on new route between Trinidad and Guadeloupe
The CEO of the Caribbean Airlines, Garvin Medera said that this new service to Guadeloupe is a testament to their commitment to building bridges across the region.
The CEO mentioned that their network has been designed in order to make every passenger’s journey ‘seamless’ and ‘welcoming’.
He further went on to say that these services between Trinidad and Guadeloupe will play a significant role in fostering unity, opportunity, and the vibrant exchange of Caribbean culture.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Guadeloupe Maryse Condé Airport Alain BIÈVRE said that they are looking forward to building a strong partnership with Caribbean Airlines. He added that they are committed to strengthening their connections across the Caribbean region.
