BIT Training to commence from August 25 in Guyana

Guyana: Training is scheduled to start on August 25, 2022. The launching of the programmes offered by the Board of Industrial Training (BIT) was held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
Minister of Labour Joseph Hamilton spearheaded the exercise, where he engaged more than two hundred residents of Orealla, East Berbice Corentyne, offering a batch of thirty (30) persons to pursue training in Joinery, Electrical Installation and Commercial Food Preparation.
Residents of Siparuta will soon commence Joiner, Electrical Installation and Handcraft, while Orealla residents will benefit from Joinery, Electrical Installation and Commercial Food Preparation.
A contract was signed to ensure the preparation of the courses to be delivered to residents by Region Six, Technical Officer Tina Ghansham and representatives of Orealla Village Council.
The accompanying minister on the official visit is Personal Assistant to the Minister, Rosannah Allie, Toshao, Lewis Devair, Senior Councilor, Shurl Valenzuela, Technical Officers for regions five and six, Jennel Washington and Tina Ghansham and Central Recruitment and Manpower Officer, Rabina Mohamed.
On Monday, August 22, 2022, three technical and vocational programmes were launched for residents of Siparuta, East Berbice Corentyne, by Minister of Labour Joseph Hamilton.
The courses will be delivered through the Board of Industrial Training (BIT) in areas such as Joinery, Electrical Installation and Handcraft, with ten trainees for each course.
A contract was signed to kickstart the programmes by Region Six, Technical Officer Tina Ghansham and Siparuta Village Council.
