BDF receives donation of full-body, self-sanitisation unit from #1 Beauty Supply
The Barbados Defence Force recently received a donation of a full-body, self-sanitisation unit from #1 Beauty Supply Barbados.

Barbados: The Barbados Defence Force recently received a donation of a full-body, self-sanitisation unit from #1 Beauty Supply Barbados. The Military Advisor accepted the unit to the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Lovell.
During the presentation, the Managing Director of #1 Beauty Supply, Mohammad Jaouni, said that his company was honoured to donate this unit to the BDF, which is the second of its kind on the island.
He further stated that the donation was part of his company’s corporate responsibility and outreach in the fight against COVID-19 in an effort to protect the country’s frontline workers and its citizens.
As of the status updated on March 15, 2022 (Tuesday), there were 118 new COVID-19 cases (58 females and 60 males) recorded from the 949 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The cases comprised 26 persons under the age of 18 and 92 who were 18 years and older.
The total number of people in isolation facilities was 45, while 1,085 were in home isolation.
As of March 15, the virus had claimed 326 lives.
The public health laboratory has carried out 600,328 tests since February 2020 and recorded 57,348 COVID-19 cases; of the total, 26,582 were males and 30,766 were females.
The total number of persons with at least one dose is 160,703, which compromises 70.4 percent of the eligible Barbadian population.
As per the health ministry, the total number of fully vaccinated persons is 150,471, 55.5 percent of the total population or 65.9 percent of the eligible population.
In Barbados, the eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
