Bahamas: Ministry of Youth to host Culture at the Cay
The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Division of Cultural Affairs is all set to host Culture at the Cay. The event is to take place on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, at Arawak Cay. The event is to start at 12 pm and will continue till 10 pm.

                                                    The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Division of Cultural Affairs is all set to host Culture at the Cay. The event is to take place on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, at Arawak Cay. The event is to start at 12 pm and will continue till 10 pm.
Notably, the Culture at the Cay will begin with the All-Bahamian Book Fair. The time of the fair is 12 pm-5 pm. At this event, various publishers will exhibit or display their books. Such fairs are a great way of bringing various authors, booksellers, publishers and readers together to celebrate and promote the love of reading. The Book fair will include various activities, which include Author readings, an escape room, Bahamian games and many more.
Further, Miss Daisy will host a Children’s Native show for the enjoyment and fun of the children. The show will begin at 3 pm and will continue till 5 pm on the said day.
The event will be followed by Bahamian Flix. At this event, a family film will be shown to all the attendees. It is a great way of bringing people from different areas together and celebrating the magic of films.
Moreover, in order to celebrate the culture of the Bahamas and the creativity and talent of various artists, the Culture at the Cay will also conduct the Couture and Culture Fashion Show. The fashion show will celebrate the clothing, hair, and make-up designs of various participants in the show. The fashion show will be conducted from 7 pm to 9 pm.
From 9 pm to 10 pm, the mature audience of the Bahamas will be shown the film. This event has also been named as the Bahamian Flix.
It is to be noted that this Cultural Mural Programme is being celebrated under the theme “Celebrating Ourselves: Continuing the Cultural Legacy.” The event will feature excellent and electrifying performances by various artists. The performers of the event include Abby Smith, Preston Hanna, Mysc Mural Apprenticeship Participants of 2023, Simpson Penn Centre for boys and Willie Mae Pratt Centre for girls.
Furthermore, the people of the Bahamas have shown their excitement and desire to attend the event.
