Arima police arrest male suspect for allegedly giving online death threats
The police officers from the Arima Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a male suspect for allegedly giving death threats via social media. He was arrested on Monday.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: The police officers from the Arima Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a male suspect for allegedly giving death threats via social media. He was arrested on Monday.
As per police reports, a report was made about a person who was giving online death threats through social media in the Arima Police District. The Arima CID officers responded to the matter and arrived at the location.
They executed an intelligence-led exercise in the Southern Division. The operation was executed with the support of Northern Division Task Force Area North, along with the ranks from the San Fernando CID.
The team of officers headed towards a residence of the suspect, who resided at the Nandaramsingh Avenue, Philippine at San Fernando.
Noting this, the CID officers, along with other officials, executed a search for the suspect, which led them to reach the suspect. The male accused was questioned regarding the ongoing investigation, and he was subsequently held. He was taken to the Arima Police Station for further inquiries.
Notably, the anti-crime exercise was spearheaded by ACP Subero, Senior Supt Montrichand, Supt Carty and ASP Pitt. The intelligence-led operation was coordinated by Inspector Mascall and supervised by Sgt Haynes, Cpl Diamond and Cpl Romany.
The officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Services are receiving appreciation from people across the country for their unwavering commitment to tackling the problem of crimes in their nation.

“Nice! Great Job! The message must be sent loud and clear”, commented another.
Additionally, such death threats can lead to the mental and emotional breakdown of a person. It can also affect his mind and health. The authorities are asked to take strict action against such criminal exercises.
Social media applications are meant to be used for the right purposes. However, some people are misusing such technology and building a sense of fear in the minds of the general public.
