Antigua’s Grand Princess Casino shuts down, available for sale

St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: Travellers to Antigua and Barbuda are informed that the Grand Princess Casino will remain shut for a while now. A resident and citizen of Antigua and Barbuda took a group named ‘Antigua Tourist Group’ and shared this piece of information.

He mentioned, “THE GRAND PRINCESS CASINO HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN FOR A WHILE NOW.”

The resident further outlined that the Grand Princess Casino is located in the famous Jolly Harbour development in Antigua.

The property’s land consists of three parcels measuring up to about 512,580 sq ft. There are two buildings currently on the land – the casino building measuring 61,522 sq ft and a smaller building measuring 2,607 sq ft used to house the generator, electrical panels and fuel storage tank.

The Casino has a 7,100-square-foot casino floor, two restaurants, a nightclub area, commercial units and accommodations. The property also consisted of a café, a spa containing four treatment rooms, a sauna and a gym, a nightclub, penthouse suites, storerooms, utility rooms and an outdoor rooftop terrace.

As per many reports, the whole building has been closed since the year 2007, and now it is open for sale.

It is to be noted that the prime location of the property is the entrance of this popular development, which anticipates direct traffic of investors in this location. According to many of the many estates, this Jolly Harbour development is a high-end gated community with amenities and conveniences, such as upscale residences, a marina, yachting facilities, shops, retail stores, supermarkets, and business offices.

Many of the residents and travellers raised their concerns over this shutdown. One of the users noted that this closure is disrespectful to such a beautiful property and location. At the same time, another remembered visiting the location when it was open to the public. The third one stated that the Casino was a great tourist destination in Antigua and Barbuda.
