Another suspect in assassination of President Jovenel Moise arrested in Jamaica
Another suspect from Jamaica – Mario Antonio Palacios, has been arrested for the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise. The suspect was on the “wanted list” of international law enforcement.

Kingston, Jamaica: Another suspect from Jamaica – Mario Antonio Palacios, has been arrested for the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise. The suspect was on the “wanted list” of international law enforcement.
Antonio Palacios is a Colombian national and former military officer and is currently in the custody of Jamaican law enforcement authorities. He is wanted by the – International Criminal Police Organization INTERPOL.
Although, the time of his arrest has not been cleared. He is being held in Jamaica for illegal entry & is expected to be deported in the upcoming days or extradited from the island country.
Jamaica Constabulary Force – (JCF) stated that it could confirm that an individual alleging to be a – Colombian national has been arrested in Jamaica on immigration breaches. JCF noted that the individual has subsequently become the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice as of Thursday, October 21.
JCF officials further added that furthermore information would be provided to the media and general public at the required time.
Palacios is considered one of the “most wanted men” in Haiti. Haiti had reportedly requested that he be flagged by – INTERPOL. It is a belief of the
Haitian police that he travelled with numerous former soldiers involved in the assassination of President Moïse on July 7 this year.
According to the reports of sources, Palacios left Colombia for the Dominican Republic on Friday, June 4, 2021, via El Dorado airport. He is believed to have taken an Avianca flight with the other members of the commandos that killed the then Haitian president.
Soon after the assassination of – President Jovenel Moise, a wanted notice was issued by the Haitian National Police against Palacios.
In addition, the Haitian gang’s leader who abducted 17 US and Canadian missionaries a few days back has warned to kill the hostages if he does not get what he needs.
