Georgetown, Guyana: A 38-year-old Chooromanie Tulsie, an accountant, was found dead with a knife stuck in her throat and cloth stuffed in mouth in Mahaica. She was also known as ‘Anita.’
An accountant of Lot 26 Unity Mahaica, ECD, was allegedly murdered between November 21, about 19:30 hours and November 22, 2023, at the above-mentioned address by an unknown person.
One of her neighbours, Cavita Jagarnauth, visited her home at about -8:00 hours on the same day and found the gate locked. She called out for Tulsie and got no answer.
However, after a few minutes, Jagarnauth saw the woman’s 5-year-old son by a window on the upper flat. She added that with the help of people in the area, they managed to break the lock on the upper flat and take out the child.
Notably, when they went to the lower flat, they discovered the deceased lying on the ground inside the house with a piece of cloth stuffed inside her mouth and a knife stuck at the centre of her throat.
It is to be added in the remarks of neighbour Cavita that her body was clad in a multi-coloured nightdress.
The woman immediately reported her observations to the police. The police officials arrived at the crime scene a few minutes later. They investigate the matter and detect the house thoroughly.
However, no breakage was seen around the building. In due course of time, the body was eventually taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, awaiting a postmortem examination.
The crime investigation department and officials are investigating the case as they have detained three persons for questioning in relation to the brutal murder of Tulsie.
Many people reacted to this case and sent their condolences to the victim’s family and son.
Such stances of crime should be treated immediately, and police departments should make sure that no culprit would walk freely.
Recently, on November 16, the brutal and cold-blooded murder of Shonette Dover came to the limelight. The shocking thing which came to notice is that the girl was terribly killed by someone she once loved and trusted.
Notably, the murderer- Shaquawan Alleyne, is still on the run and has not been apprehended by law enforcement.
