234 tested positive for COVID-19, 6 dies in Trinidad and Tobago
Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 234 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 23 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry. With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections has increased to 4,589.

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 234 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 23 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry. With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections has increased to 4,589.
In contrast, a total of 49,209 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.
In total, around 309 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 6 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death toll to 1,639 on the Caribbean island as of 23 October 2021.
As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 34 patients in the step-down facilities, about 59 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 4012 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 55,437 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 380,282 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 161,220 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
As of 23 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 617,429 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 583,447 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
