190 new COVID-19 cases reported in Trinidad and Tobago
1,44,718 out of the total population got fully vaccinated.

Port of Spain: Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago released their COVID-19 update through a media release. This media release shows the clinical updation till 4 pm on July 11 2021.
Till present total of 2,47,048 tests have been conducted in Trinidad and Tobago at both public and private facilities. In these total tests, 35,236 confirmed cases till present, out of which 28,451 have been fortunately recovered.
The total number of positive patients in Trinidad and Tobago had reached 5,822 in this 190 are new cases that had been reported recently in the last 24 hrs.
The hospitals have been occupied by 312 patients at present in T&T. 963 patients have also died due to the COVID-19 virus in the country.
Till 4 pm 2,27,269 patients have been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines out of these vaccinated persons 91,844 got AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine, 1,35,225 got Sinopharm vaccine and 200 doses of Pfizer. Thus,1,44,718 out of the total population got fully vaccinated.
30 patients have been discharged from the public health facilities, and 208 have been recovered community cases. Recovered community cases are categorised in them those who have been infected by COVID-19 virus, and they were in self-isolation, and after reaching the discharge, criteria had been released from self-isolation.
11 additional deaths have also been reported on Thursday. From the 11 deads,4 were elderly males, 3 elderly female and 1 middle-aged male,3 middle-aged females, 0 young adult male without co-morbidities.
The government of Trinidad and Tobago supposed to reopen its border for travellers from July 17 but also warned that the non-vaccinated people would not be allowed to enter the country.
The additional cases were taken from samples for the period June.
The ministry urges the public to continue obeying the Public Health Regulations, obey regular hand hygiene and keep physical distancing in public to withdraw from spreading the virus.
