The boys' team of TT has made it to knockouts after bagging victory against the Boys team of Bermuda, on Thursday, at the World Junior Tennis tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago: The boys’ team of TT has made it to knockouts after bagging victory against the Boys team of Bermuda, on Thursday, at the World Junior Tennis tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago team won the match by 3-0.

In the opening rubber, Trinidad and Tobago’s boy’s team faced a 2-1 defeat from the Dominican Republic, but, indeed, the team bounced back and won the next match against Bermuda by 3-0.

After securing the win, the team will play the quarterfinals of the tournament.

In a similar tournament, the girls’ team of Trinidad and Tobago lost their first-two round tie matches. The girls’ team consequently lost two matches against Guatemala and Honduras.

TT team was beaten by Guatemala 3-0, followed by the defeat from Honduras 3-2. The girls’ team is now out of the tournament.

The winners of the tournament, being played in El Salvador, would represent their countries in the regional qualifying tournament. In this tournament, the teams would face strong and prominent teams from the United States of America (USA), Canada, Mexico and others.
