Trinidad and Tobago: Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley wishes every citizen on New Year eve by writing a heartfelt message on his Facebook post.
PM Rowley cited, “As another year draws to a close, and a new one beckons, we spare a moment to acknowledge all the things – both good and bad – which defined 2021”.
And now, as we look forward to the next 365 days, let us make the most of this unique opportunity, granted just once a year, to rededicate our lives to our country; to work together for the growth and development of our nation; to perform our duties with a profound sense of service to our fellow man; and to beyond all else, contribute to the greater good that benefits us all.
Let us do these things with an unwavering sense of commitment, good faith and self-belief.
We may not know what the future holds, but we can step confidently into 2022, knowing that in spite of it all, we are all in this together. And together, WE are ONE.
“May God bless and keep us all. Happy New Year, T&T”, the prime minister stated.
On the eve of the new year, several countries have restricted gatherings in public places as the new COVID-19 variant emerges. Even some nations such as – Jamaica have banned fireworks.
