Villa Vie Odyssey returns to Barbados after 4 years
Barbados officially kicked off the cruise season 2024-2025 with the arrival of Seven Seas Grandeur on 1st November, 2024.

Villa Vie Odyssey marked a memorable comeback to the shores of Barbados and brought along hundreds of passengers on Thursday, 14th November, 2024. The vessel docked at Port of Bridgetown after a period of 4 years, offered all the visitors with a memorable and vibrant stay.
The last time, vessel sailed in the Caribbean waters was before the pandemic in 2020. After four years, the vessel not only returned with a new name but also with a unique concept of life at sea.
As per the details, the vessel was carrying 150 passengers and 211 crew members on board. All the members boarding the ship and the Captain were officially welcomed by representatives of Barbados Port Inc. and Platinum Port Agency in a traditional Plaque Exchange ceremony.
The visitors got an opportunity to explore the diverse attractions of Barbados, enjoy the vibrant culture and traditions of the country and savour the local and delicious delicacies of the island nation.
The vessel is operated by Villa Vie Residences that departed from Belfast on 3rd October, 2024. The vessel has scheduled visits to 425 ports and 174 countries, aiming to offer a blended lifestyle of remote work, leisure and adventure to each and every passenger.
Also, the Captain of Villa Vie Odyssey, Valentin Giuglea took to his official Facebook account and expressed excitement on bringing the vessel back to the shores of Barbados after 4 years. He narrated the story and said that the arrival of vessel to the country reminds them of a remarkable chapter in this ship’s storied past.
He also expressed his excitement on bringing the vessel back to life, full of energy, and embarking on a new journey with those who have chosen her as their home. The Master further added that Odyssey has been reborn, and her story will continue, offering full of adventure in the heart of Caribbean.
Barbados officially kicked off the cruise season 2024-2025 with the arrival of Seven Seas Grandeur on 1st November, 2024. The vessel brought more than 600 passengers and offered them an opportunity to explore the island and immerse themselves in the breathtaking destinations of the country.
The Tourism Authority has expressed its desire of welcoming thousands of passengers to the country, aiming to witness a significant boost in the tourism sector of the island nation.
