Twelve women to vie for Mrs Trinidad and Tobago Universe Pageant

Twelve women of Trinidad and Tobago are competing to represent the island nation at the 47th edition of the Mrs Universe Pageant. The pageant is scheduled to take place in South Korea later this year.

As per the qualifying criteria set by the selection committee of the pageant, women aged between 18 and 55, having a family and working for the purpose of charity can participate in the team.

The marital status of the participating women would not be considered as a drawback and they can be either married, widowed or divorced.

The 12 contestants participating in the competition include,

1. Astrid Morillo, representing Cunupia.
2. Rehyan Francois representing Tacarigua.
3. Vanessa Seunal representing Cedros.
4. Wendy Thomas, representing Cascade.
5. Sarah Inderlall representing Chaguanas.
6. Melissa John-Ramsubagh, representing Claxton Bay.
7. Candice Deonarine, representing Freeport.
8. Dianne Mollino representing Valsayn.
9. Avalon Felix-Semper representing Siparia.
10. Petal Joefield- Malcolm, representing Moruga.
11. Salisha Salamut-Forster, representing Maraval.
12. Shierneil Kimkeran, representing Morvant.

Notably, these participants will compete in the Grand Finals of Mrs Trinidad and Tobago Universe Pageant which will be held at Dennis P Ramdhan Complex on 30th May 2024. The winner from all these delegations will get an opportunity to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the 47th edition of the Mrs Universe Pageant in South Korea.

The women from over 100 countries will compete against each other to clinch the title of Mrs Universe Pageant.

On 21st February, 2024, as a part of Mrs TT Universe Pageant, the media launch and sashing ceremony was conducted at the Host Venue, in Mc Bean Couva where participants were honoured with various kinds of titles by Alveada Meah. Alveada Meha is the reigning Mrs TT Universe 2023 and national director of Mrs TT Universe.

Alveada Meah, the reigning Mrs TT Universe 2023 and national director of Mrs TT Universe expressed her excitement about the pageant and said that it is a great opportunity for all the divorced, widowed and married women to represent themselves and make their voices heard on an international platform.
