TTPS seizes three firearms, including GLOCK pistol & ammunition during anti crime exercises
TTPS conducted anti-crime exercises in different districts of the country, which led to the recovery of three firearms, ammunition, and contraband materials suspected to be used for robberies.

Trinidad and Tobago Police Services (TTPS) conducted several targeted operations across different districts of the country, which led to the recovery of three firearms, a quantity of ammunition, and contraband materials suspected to be used for robberies.
TTPS expressed their commitment to continue their anti-crime exercises in T&T to combat the increasing criminal activity in the nation.
Details of the operations
On Saturday, the officers of the Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit conducted an exercise in the West End Police district at between 10 pm to 5 am.
They received an information about a firearm and upon responding the matter, they proceeded to a basketball court in Covigne Road.
Upon arriving at Covigne Road in the Diego Martin area, they searched the place thoroughly. While searching, the ranks found the following things,
– One black coloured Glock magazine contained 17 rounds of .9 mm ammunition
– One rusty silver and grey empty magazine
– One blue tactical jacket with ‘POLICE’ Velcro patches
– One black tactical jacket
– One pair of black coloured gloves
– One black firearm holster
– One black and white hat with the word ‘POLICE’ embroidered on the front
– TTPS emblem and one green camouflage ski mask in the storm drain
The investigations are continued by PC Ramkripaul. The news has been shared by TTPS through its official social media handle (Facebook).
Furthermore, the authorities urged the public with any information to record their statement at the police division and assist them in their inquiries. The people across the nation lauded the untiring efforts of the police to provide a safe and secure place for them to live.
One of the comments read, “Kudos to the ttps officers and continue to be safe.”
Such words from the people reflect their trust and confidence in the police. It is to be noted that the investigating officers left no table unturned and continuously executed the anti-crime exercises in different districts of Trinidad and Tobago.
