Trinidad and Tobago: Acting Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Mc Donald Jacob met with representatives of the National Congress of Incorporated Spiritual Baptist Organisations of Trinidad and Tobago (NCOISBOTT) Inc. on November 3, 2022 (Thursday).
The preliminary meeting, held at the Police Administration Building, Corner Edward and Sackville Street, Port of Spain, aimed at establishing a working council between both parties to serve as a catalyst for change.
Furthermore, the Acting Commissioner of Police, Mc Donald Jacob, stated, “I am pleased that you have answered the call to partner with us at the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. There are about 8000 police officers who are responsible for the safety and security of 1.4 million persons; we cannot do it alone. Every partnership, every collaboration is a positive step forward because your actions mean that more persons are on the suitable side of the law.”
As per the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the meeting was fruitful as plans are already underway to hold a “Day of Prayer and Deliverance”, an inter-faith event scheduled for December 11 2022. There are also plans to engage and partner with the TTPS in each of the 10 Divisions in several crime prevention initiatives.
CoP Ag Jacob also commented, “My door is always open; I look forward to similar partnerships with other groups and associations within society as we all want the same thing, to live in peace and safety.”
The representatives from NCOISBOTT included His Eminence, Patriarch Wayne Jones, His Grace Archbishop W. Leon John, Her Grace Mary K Forde, Abbess Dr Agatha Carrington and King Shepherd Ray M. S. Brathwaite.
