Trinidad and Tobago records 176 new cases in a single day
Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 176 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 14 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 176 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 14 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.
With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,178. In contrast, a total of 47,641 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.
In total, around 266 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of one new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,573 on the Caribbean island as of 14 October 2021.
As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 44 patients in the step-down facilities, about 53 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 3692 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 53,392 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 371,778 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 161,220 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
As of 14 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 605,389 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 559,820 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
