Trinidad and Tobago: Over 250 people test COVID-19 positive in a single day
The island of Trinidad and Tobago has recorded 250 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 30 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.

Trinidad and Tobago: The island of Trinidad and Tobago has recorded 250 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 30 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.
With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,231. In contrast, a total of 44,996 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.
In total, around 294 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 8 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,482 on the Caribbean island as of 30 September 2021.
As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 56 patients in the step-down facilities, about 114 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 3,631 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
So far, as of 30 September 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 575,303 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 498,048 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 50,709 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 352,709 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 152,796 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
