As the state of emergency ends in Trinidad and Tobago, along with KFC, various other Prestige Holdings’ franchises have extended their operation hours.
KFC informed that it would be operating till midnight while providing over the counter and drive-thru services to its customers, with home delivery services to be offered till 10 pm.
Franchises under the prestige holding such as – subway, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and TGI Fridays informed about their extending hours via a social media platform.
Pizza Hut, Starbucks, TGI Fridays and Subway will only be operational till 10 pm. TGI Fridays noted that it will take orders till 9 pm, while Pizza Hut will be accepting online orders until 9 pm.
On the other hand, Subway will provide home-delivery services till 9 pm only.
Amid the surge in the COVID infections and state of emergency, the restaurants were operating at limited time, but now as the curfew and SOE ends, the patrons can enjoy the tasty food.
While the restaurants will ensure that COVID-19 health protocols and guidelines are strictly followed by their staff members and as well as by customers.
Coronavirus outbreak led to the closure of various restaurants, which put them into a huge loss. The previous month, Prestige Holdings Limited announced that the company suffered a loss of – $30.9 million for the nine-month period ended – August 31, 2021, while for the same time period last year, the company earned a profit of $867,000.
The House of Representatives voted to end the State of Emergency – SOE; two weeks prior, it would have officially ended.
Following the curfew and state of emergency imposed from 9 pm, the restaurants used to operate for limited hours, then in the month of September, the curfew hours shifted to start from 10 pm, and in last month the restaurants were permitted to restart house dining under strict COVID measures.
