“Thank you for love, protection,” says PM Roosevelt Skerrit while wishing on Father’s Day
Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, wished dads all around the world on the occasion of ‘World Father’s Day 2023’.

Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, wished dads all around the world on the occasion of ‘World Father’s Day 2023’. The world celebrated the day on June 18, 2023 (Sunday).
While wishing the same, Prime Minister also highlighted that dads have always protected their children and families and have stood firm to safeguard them from any harm.
Further, he wished that fathers around the world must be blessed with god’s grace.
He took social media and noted, “Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers of our nation.”
PM Skerrit added, “Thank you for the love, support and protection provided to your children and families. God’s blessings on your special day.”
In addition to this, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit – PM Roosevelt Skerrit’s wife and Minister of Housing Unit, who also serves as the Parliamentary Representative of Roseau Central, also wished the fathers all around the world.
She also outlined that the fathers are the guiding light for the families.
“Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads today! God bless Fathers today and every day as you guide and protect your family,” a Parliamentary Representative of Roseau Central mentioned.
She additionally used some hashtags dedicated towards the day, “#fathersday #Dominica #family #love.”
Melissa Skerrit also organised BBQ and chill to celebrate Father’s Day with the citizens of the Roseau Central constituency. The celebration was done on June 17, 2023 (Saturday), starting at 6:00 pm. The event was organised at City Breeze Apartments.
The event provided all sorts of entertainment, including a variety of soups and broths, dominos, and games.
The Parliamentary Representative has also celebrated Mother’s Day with the residents and citizens of the Roseau Central constituency. Melissa Skerrit wished the general public and noted, “A mother’s love is unconditional and everlasting. Not every moment is picture-perfect, but these are often the moments most worth it. Happy Mother’s Day to all Moms today!”
