SVG Air has resumed its daily flight operations to Grenada, Carriacou, and St Vincent following the long break which occurred as an aftermath of the Hurricane Beryl. These services will be available six days in a week, excluding Thursdays, with fares starting at as low as $69.
While shedding light on these services, the Grenada Tourism Authority expressed excitement and called it a crucial step towards welcoming large number tourists and enhancing the tourism sector of the respective nations.
The authorities noted that the resumption of flight services signifies that the Hurricane Beryl affected nations, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada are a step closer towards improving their overall conditions. They noted that these services would facilitate tourism, trade, and connectivity, generate economic growth, provide jobs, improve living standards, alleviate poverty, provide a lifeline for remote communities and enable a rapid response when disasters occur.
As per the details, the authorities have also kept budget-friendly fares, keeping the price as minimum as possible in order to make it both convenient and affordable for both local citizens and visitors to reconnect with other Caribbean nations.
While emphasising on the resuming of the services, the CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, Petra Roch stated that they are extremely happy and proud to see the incredible return of these services.
She noted that these flight services is a huge testament to their unwavering commitment and dedication towards reconnecting with people, preserving culture and helping Carriacou and Petite Martinique recover.
The CEO asserted that these services promise to offer a gateway for all travellers to experience the vibrant culture, traditions, resilience and beauty of the sister island.
Moreover, the Minister of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Tevin Andrew also shed light on the restarting of these services and called it a significant step towards connecting the travellers with Caribbean nations. He added that the people of Carriacou and Petite Martinique are continuously working hard in order to foster their communities, businesses, and cultural celebrations.
And, the reinitiation of these services would play a huge role in bringing the nation back to normal and pave the path for a thriving future.
The 19-seater Twin Otter aircraft will offer these services, aiming to offer plethora of experiences, ensuring memorable and comfortable visit to all the travellers.
