The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Southern University and the Ministry of Agriculture incorporates multiple aspects, offering benefits to the farmers and the general population. Also, Southern University Agriculture Research & Extension Centre (SUAREC) commits to provide valuable consultancy services to the Ministry of Agriculture .

All the support provided will contribute towards the enrichment of knowledge and skill sets among farmers in the Federation. Additionally, the Southern University Agriculture Research & Extension center is committed towards fostering food safety.

This will be done by providing the certification courses in vendor food safety, targeting the acquisition of food vendors permit. And, this will be made available completely free of charge to the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis.

Importantly, by all of these efforts, SUAREC states its contribution to the overall well being of the agricultural sector.

Even, the SU delegation will be given the tour as a planned part of CFBC (Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College) as a follow to the Memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education which was signed in September 2023.
