St Vincent and the Grenadines to offer Glamping experience, blend of luxury and nature

With a vision to enhance the tourism offerings of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Wild Lotus Caribbean has opened a new rainforest glamping site. It will be effective from 1 December 2024 to 30 June 2025 and will provide a unique camping experience that combines “luxury and nature.”

The word glamping is a mixture of glamorous camping and camping, which provides a fun and outdoor lifestyle by adding a little more luxury and comfort.

This glamping site has been set in a wild bird sanctuary in order to let people reconnect with nature while enjoying access to bathroom, electricity, running water, and even TV and entertainment features. It gives visitors an access to high-end destinations without major expenses.

The Wild Lotus Caribbean has opened to be mindful of its impact on wildlife and the environment and offer all visitors a plethora of experiences. The authorities noted that they are aiming to offer nature-based wellness experiences along with St Vincent and the Grenadines’ special Italian cuisine, yoga, riverside massage, forest bathing, and much more.

This glamping site will feature 10 luxury Lotus Belle tents with comfortable double beds, Egyptian cotton sheets and state of the art coffee percolators, and scattered them amongst ancient breadfruit trees.

These tents are set along the banks of the Grand Sable River, offering a clear view of the canopy nesting sites of the Amazona guildingii, as well as the ocean on the eastern horizon.

Amazona guildingii, also known as Saint Vincent amazon, is a large, around 40 cm long, multi-colored amazon parrot with a yellowish white, blue, and green head, greenish-bronze upperparts plumage, and violet blue-green wings.

While shedding light on the location of the glamping, the Minister of Tourism Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, Carlos James stated that it has been chosen in order to keep it secret and protect the endangered species.

He continued to say that there are around 750 Amazona guildingii on earth and it is found here only in St Vincent and the Grenadines. He noted, therefore, that it is an opportunity for the visitors to spend their personal and quality time in glamping while enjoying nature in the habitat of an endangered species.

Moreover, the Minister shed light on the guides and wellness practitioners of the Wild Lotus glamping site, he stated that the visitors can learn several things from these guides.

He remarked that the tourists can have meaningful connections with nature, learn about the working of ecology of the island nation and contribute towards the protection of these endangered species whose habitats are getting threatened by climate change.

While emphasizing the glamping site, Wild Lotus Caribbean CEO Vennetta Johnston stated that they are truly excited to have curated it. He added that it would play a huge role in offering visitors a deep and unforgettable connection with nature.
