American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue to expand services to Antigua and Barbuda

American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue and United Airlines are all set to enhance their services to Antigua and Barbuda, marking a boost in the arrivals of international visitors.

Antigua and Barbuda: American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue and United Airlines are all set to enhance their services to Antigua and Barbuda, marking a boost in the arrivals of international visitors. 

The news about the expansion of flights was announced by Charles Fernandez, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transport and Investment of Antigua and Barbuda.

The meeting was attended by Charmaine Spencer, the Director of Tourism, Caribbean & Latin America, Norrell Joseph, the Sales and Marketing Manager, Joel Henry, the Business Development Manager (UK) and Maria Britto-Bettini, the Managing Director, of BlueSea. All these Antigua and Barbuda tourism authorities led a delegation to the ‘Routes Americas’, air service department event in Bogota, Colombia. 

During the discussion, it was decided that daily flights from Charlotte, NC to V.C Bird International Airport will operate its services on 5th December 2024 and will be continued throughout the winter season. 

The Miami route will operate two flights a day throughout summer and winter, which will offer a year-round service from Miami International Airport and will play a huge role in boosting the tourism sector of the island nation. 

Delta will also expand its flights to twice weekly from Atlanta during the winter seasons for 2024 and 2025. JetBlue will also observe an increase in flights from three times weekly to daily in the summer of 2024. 

Recently, it was also announced that Condor Airlines is all set to revive its weekly flight services from 5th November 2024. This growth in airlift will expand the tourism sector and is likely to bring positive growth in the economic conditions of the country as well. 

Such meetings and expansion of airlines also reflect the unwavering commitment and dedication of the Antigua and Barbuda tourism authority who are constantly making efforts in order to promote the nation as the best travel destination.
